I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had a spectacular Thanksgiving. I spent it with my family.
The question of the day is: What is giving?
“GIVING” is a simple act of kindness; even thou sometimes we find it hard to leaned a helping hand or money to a good friend or family member; better yet, what most of us cringe strangers.
The holidays, we love it! (maybe not the trampling in Wal-Mart to get clothes or electronics) but over -all we are happy around this time of year. During the holidays we give the most; unless you’re someone that is rich and famous or love to give,then you probably give all year around.
However, most of us are “seasonal givers” who only give during this time of year to family, friends, the homeless , orphanage, shelter, soup kitchen; ok you get the point and this list can go on……….
I use to be a “seasonal giver”. Until I had several horrific life experiences and no control of my situation, no matter how I tried to make it better. I was severally depressed and angry at everyone. I USE TO PLAN MY LIFE OUT to the point where I knew what I was going to be doing two years from now on a specific month. CRAZY RIGHT! I felt lost and confused. I felt as if there was no gravity to hold me down and it seemed as if I was floating away in space.
I am here to tell you I am not rich or famous. I am probably in the same situation as many Americans. For instance, struggling to make ends meet and working hard to provide the best for yourself and family. However, right before my life started to get back on track I promise myself I would start a charity organization. Honestly, I didn’t know where I would get the funds but God always follow through. I truly believe that it was God’s will to make me have this desire to help others.
Therefore, I started a YouTube channel called “Themarshaleemcshow” it features giving away anything I thing is give-able. The channel is new and I am still struggling with new ideas but I am sure everything will fall in place just in time. So far, I have helped three random strangers that live in three different states. I haven’t give away money but in the future that will be something to look forward to. On my YouTube channel I featured items that I have more than one of in my home, items that I am not using anymore and brand new ones. Most of the things I have giving away are used and in great condition.
It is important to give from your heart. I encourage my readers not to become seasonal givers. If you are a seasonal giver, I challenge you to start giving not only around the holidays but after the holidays and the rest of the year.
